Tremont Township Earns Grant for Traffic Signal Upgrade, Stehr Says

HARRISBURG – Tremont Township has been awarded a $93,662 grant for updated signal equipment at Main Street (Route 209) and Rausch Creek Road, Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-Northumberland/Schuylkill) announced today.

“For the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians alike, it is important to have effective traffic signals in place across our communities,” Stehr said. “I applaud this investment in our community.”

The grant was awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Green Light-Go program, which provides reimbursement to municipalities for updates to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals.
